What we use
I’m Going Now stores your account details, runs, requests, group memberships, and preferences to provide the service. Guests can participate without an account. A secure browser cookie lets you manage your own request for up to 30 days.
Who can see a request?
The runner can see the names and requests submitted to their run. Guests can see their own request in the same browser. Anyone with a run link can see its destination, runner’s display name, note, and status. Treat the link as something to share with people you trust.
No contact book. No location trail.
We don’t request your contact list or precise location. We record basic product events, such as a run being created, a link being opened, and a request being added. We use these to understand whether the product is useful. Request text is not included in analytics or shared with advertisers. Short-lived, hashed network identifiers are used to limit abuse.
Service providers and advertising
Supabase provides our database and authentication. Vercel hosts the website. Development sponsored placements are placeholders; no advertising network is active. If an advertising provider is enabled later, we’ll update this notice before collecting additional data.
Retention and deletion
Guest sessions expire after 30 days. Our retention process removes anonymous request text from finished runs after 90 days and detailed product events after 180 days. Account history stays available until deletion or a future disclosed retention limit. You can permanently delete your account in your profile settings. Security logs and provider backups may persist according to the providers’ retention schedules.
Your choices
You can edit or remove a guest request while its run is open. Notification preferences are available in your profile. For access, correction, or deletion help, use our support page.
